survolvo Posted November 24, 2013 Report Share Posted November 24, 2013 Paged to a vehicle injury accident around 7pm last night, about 30 miles south. Got home around 11pm. Woke up to the pager going off this morning at 6:30 for a vehicle injury accident, 20 ft north of the one from the night before. Got home around 9:30am. An hour later was paged to medical/rescue 25 miles south on the highway and 5 miles up a dirt "road". Took an hour from the highway to the top of the road. Worst road I have driven on in a long time. 3-4 ft deep ruts that were 3-4 ft wide, the whole way up. Had to hike in from the end of the road about 1/2 mile with all my medical gear and back board. And back out with all my medical gear and patient on the back board. Helicopter was waiting for me at the road, loaded patient up. Started loading my gear up and was clearing the scene around 2:30pm. As I was loading all my gear back into the rescue truck, got another page for a Dead Body Found, about 3 miles north from the bottom of the dirt road. Drove an hour back down the dirt road and went to the DBF call. Confirmed DBF. Called coroner and had to wait for him to arrive around 5pm. Got home around 6pm.
