Kevin.
so it's the bottom end that seized, nothing timing related after the cams went in I ended up having a bad seal on the intake cam gear seal and I lost 4.5 quarts of oil. Didn't realize it until I was pulling back in and the oil light was flickering. Pretty sure I toasted my bearings it is what it is, getting the Saffron ready for Carlisle and just taking a car home every night until it's fixed

Kevin.
I see the hammer in the lower left corner of the pic and imagine this happening in the engine bay: easier to pop the head off with a hammer

When you do things like that you start the car, let it warm up as you look for leaks and issues. If all is well you take it around the block (not beating on it) bring it back and check everything over. I guarantee if you did any of that you would have seen the leaking cam seal. But now you know for next time.......

Burn-E
Out overseeing the children as they weed the garden this evening with black clouds looming on the horizon and the lightning strike horn is blowing at the nearby park. I check out the Dark Sky app and it declares rain in 13 minutes. Fifteen minutes later the sky opens up into a downpour. Hyper local weather prediction is amazing.
