7 VII 7
8 years is a long time. My tenure with my current employer. What's up Davit? VS misses you. Yeah, long time. I am almost 9 years with my current company. I am done with masters, son is 2 and another one on the way. I was trying to get the 850R ready for sale but most likely will do this Spring/Summer. Easier to work on it and get it detailed than in the winter with sand and salt.

Oh, for the most part that is true. But, there are a few companies where they take looking out for their people seriously. I found one of those in my employer and can completely understand the loyalty. Good old fashioned Midwestern values drive this company and there's a very deep culture that makes them wildly successful as a result. Kevin.
from what I have been continually hearing, if you work for a corporate owned company you're SOL when it comes to loyalty 1
Timbo Slice
Please don't, Kevin. Yes there may be lack of loyalty when comparing corporate to private companies, but that's business. It shouldn't matter what type of company you work for, this stuff will happen regardless. On the other hand, you can still find plenty of large corporations today that will support employees for the long term. It really depends on what industry and what level the company is. For example, manufacturing: huge turnover rate. OEM: life long employees. This may not be true for all companies in those categories, but it's factual. theForgottenone
True to all spoke above (exception of Kevin). Every case is different but majority of the company these day regardless private or public, less of them give their employee a reason to be loyal. There are few and far exception but the list is growing smaller unless you talking about small start up company or mom/pop shop. Unless you working for those big tech company such as Google,Yahoo in the Silicon Valley then they do have great perks and well compensate. For my case, my current employer is catholic org in healthcare. However they took turn for the worse when the leadership is being turn over from the sister of the poor to the normal people for the control of the board. Non-profit is all it is left in the name and smoke and mirror cover of their long standing history of the organization of how the suppose to care for the poor. Each year, their employee benefits and compensation taken a downward spiral direction. The most recent change is they took away all Extend Illness Timeoff away and make you use all of your PTO. At the same time, they cut down the days of PTO is given for the employee in different bracket exception to the newest employee. They called due to making the benefit more market competitive. Call a spade as a spade but when you start pulling shit like that, I'm no longer being feel being appreciated or have the desire to be loyal.
