Black Betty Posted November 4, 2008 Report Share Posted November 4, 2008 I wish I could get a diesel Ford.My friend in a contour raced a Dodge Cummings towing a 45ft+ cigarette boat.Needless to say he got smoked. hahadiesel fords=fail, when i interned at a ford shop there were two types of diesel fords, those that had their normal maintenance and that was that. And those that were so fucked up they never even made it on to the show room floor. No kidding I interned there for 6 months my first day they pushed in an 08 diesel f250 and when i left 6 months later that truck still hadn't turned over. They had the cab and bed off for a while and still couldnt get the truck fired up. Lots of excursions that had to have full motor replacements, transmissions ect. IMO ford diesels= pile of hot poo. Of course, they take great care of them so they are rock solid. The mini-bus vans are ford diesels and all had around or over 100,000 miles on them and we never had any engine problems but they got abused by drivers so there were a ton of other little stupid problems. I thought they were supposed to be sedated by all that dull cushion Toyotaness. There's SO many SUPER aggressive Camry drivers here. And one in my neighborhood with Disabled Vet plates. He seriously peels out from every stop sign and red light. He has 3 missing hub caps. SUCH a menace to other drivers. I thought they were supposed to be sedated by all that dull cushion Toyotaness. There's SO many SUPER aggressive Camry drivers here. And one in my neighborhood with Disabled Vet plates. He seriously peels out from every stop sign and red light. He has 3 missing hub caps. SUCH a menace to other drivers. When I see him in my rearview I just let off the gas so he can go around me and get as FAR from me as possible. Smithwicks Posted November 4, 2008 Report Share Posted November 4, 2008 aaaaahhhh...just got back from driving 160 miles today. way back was completely void of cars and cops, it was great. and also since the highway was in the middle of nowhere there were no lights on the highway...glad i had HID's. first time ive used them when its pitch black out with no lighting from housing or anything.this is what you have to look forward to khax... also pretty sure ive got a vac leak or my MAF sensor is damaged...i got about 21/22 maybe when i should of gotten upwards of 28/29...although it was hilly.
