X1 is a spot light with one LED and optics, X5 is a flood light with 5 LEDs and no optics other than the shape of the LEDs themselves.I'm not sure if the new model X1's are still like this, but back when i picked up all three of mine (yeah, i love lights ) they were still being made with a projector lens. its beam pattern is a perfect circle with a perfect nicely colored rainbow cutoff all around the edge just like TSX or S2K HID projectors. You'll know when you see it if its the version with the projector cuz the end of it looks exactly like a miniature automotive projector lenz. I did my good deed for the year too there were 2 women and 2 kids waiting for the hoco transit bus yesterday when it was cold as fuck and i gave them a ride home, turned out they were katrina victims.
