there is also a drain on the passenger side on the back of the engine. You should also run it with the heater on full blast, cause you need to get the thermostat open to get it all

yeah I never got under the car to drain that out of the block.... yeah I do run it on full blast

took a bit to get the water to run clear out of the car... but its all gooooooooooood

columbus ohio to drop of volvo parts

total trip will make me about $800 for two days work B)

:)

Leaving here around 8 am, should take me just over 3 hours b/c of Cincinnati rush hour traffic. Wagon won't have door panels on it to save a little room. But even then, if should be an easy fit. Got those spare door sills I had mentioned in Jeff's thread ? If not, no big deal. Send me your Paypal addy please, you need $$ from me.

And if you don't mind laying on top of your engine, you can access it from the top. I have done it once (didn't have a jack, had to drain it), it's not fun, but doable.

I will see

but thanks for the heads up

Also I am a little new about the 850 and the CEL lights... I have a CEL on right now for my PCV vacuum hose off the intake manifold... I want to get it inspected and emissioned before I fix the CEL. Can I clear the CEL at autozone and go get it inspected? or will it give me a system not ready issue?

Fix the elbow, then just unplug the battery for a few seconds. It resets the CEL. OR you can pull the ECU out for a few seconds... also resets the CEL. I don't know which is easier.

And I just bought coolant a few weeks ago, it was still green. No hint of blue.

Some dealers still have the old stuff. My local dealer does a lot of volume and they haven't had green in almost a year (according to the parts dept)

ha, yeah I will stick with OEM for the $22... split it with distilled water FTW

gets here next week :)

If I recall, you don't want to use distilled water.

I will see

I'm not sure about clearing the code at Autozone, but if you remove the negative lead on the battery the car wont be ready for inspection until you drive about 30 miles on it.

yeah I will just go to my Volvo dealership and pick up a gallon

so if I do not want to fix the PCV hose before I get it inspected... I cant clear the CEL and go into get it inspected right away?

or can I?
