it is really bad in the city but since I take 395 to work I hardly see it

only when I am in Clarendon or Rosslyn

would I get in trouble if I hit the person with my car and they were j-walking and not in the crosswalk? I always wondered this

I work all over Capitol Hill when I'm in DC, I have places to be and won't think twice about j-walking. If a cop has a problem, I just show them my badge.. ;)

Last time I heard about some one getting hit it was in my small ass town and two dumb ass kids walked out in front of a jeep I think and got dominated. The light was green and they were in the crosswalk. I am pretty sure the driver didn't get charged with anything. My understand was always that if you are at a signaled crosswalk and you don't obey the signal you are at fault. Only if there is one of those signs that say 'must stop for people in crosswalk' do you always have to yield. Though I don't see many of those except in small town centers like mine.

So if I was you I'd prolly just use the horn and your finger and yell. Be an asshole, or a masshole if you rep massivetwoshits like I do.

And if that doesn't work for you do it up like Justin.

When in DC, I work for the USCP. ;)

The USCP website is a hilarious.

The dedication. The pride. The legacy.

Our mission is to protect and support the Congress in meeting its Constitutional responsibilities.

Wear the badge. Feel the honor.

The moment of transformation… when you slip into the uniform… put on the badge… and join our elite ranks, you’ll feel it. This is the moment you truly become a part of the dedication, the pride, and the legacy that makes the United States Capitol Police a force like no other.

What does it take to join this prestigious team? A deep sense of patriotism, unyielding dedication to protecting the public, and a passion for the American way of life are just the beginning. The desire to make a difference in the lives of many will take care of the rest.

 I wish my life was that gratifying.

Those guys make good money to push a button and sit in either a car or a kiosk all day.. I don't know how they do it. They make 52k right out of the academy IIRC.
