MavericK41
I went to get my radio code from my local volvo dealer on friday and they gave it to me know problem. Problem is the code they gave doesnt work. I'm guessing the previous owner replaced the radio at some point. I went to ask if they can get me the code for my radio with the serial number and they just sent me back and forth between departments and eventually it ended with someone at service telling me that there is no way for them to get the code with the serial number. he told me that i would have to bring my car in for service so that they can get my cars VIN number and and the radio S/N and make a new code for my car and that it would cost approximately $200. I thought i had read here that they can pull the code with the radio S/N, anyone know what i can do to get my code? here is my car and radio info if anyone can help me out.Car VIN: YV1NK56D7 XJ011664Radio: im not sure which number was the serial but heres what was on the bottomS/No. AL E715 X 01 11054 M 9 01 11054On the top of the radio there is a sticker with this written on it3533946-4969Japan 9902Serial No.EIRL02005199 AP January

MavericK41
I couldn't believe they tried pulling that on me. he was persistent as hell too. I just kept giving him a look and telling him theres no way thats possible. And they kept giving me the run around and telling me they didnt know the number to volvo N.A. when i would ask for it. Either they really wanted to steal my money or they just actually didnt know how to look the code up. either way i felt let down and pissed. I'm glad POOKDIZZLE hooked it up
