94850tx
I am seriously considering it. I've got several things I am wanting to do this year and trying to decide what to do. Right now I am trying to figure out if I should fly up and rent a volvo or drive up in the R. If I drive I need someone from this area to tag along either with their car or as a passenger, I will be going through some pretty back woods areas and hate to have a problem and be by myself...the R is a 00 but lets be honest that'll still be an 8 yr old car with 100K on it...anything can happen and volvo dealers are few and far between in that area.Nick
WhiteT5
Closest dealer to Lindsborg is in Wichita. I hope all you guys realize what you're getting in to, driving to the middle of nowhere, Kansas. I live in a town of about 30k people in eastern Kansas, and there's not much of anything to do, seriously. 1 movie theatre w/ 8 screens, a few grocery stores, a bowling alley, etc.. This is the reason there are bars and liquor stores everywhere. I do know that a few of the bars will serve minors with no problems. Same goes for the liquor stores. If you are cool with there not being a whole lot to do, and feeling like you've stepped back in time about 50 years, go for it. It is very low stress and ultra laid back. No one drives over the speed limit, and everyone comes to complete stops at stop signs. Don't freak out if strangers wave at you and smile. It's normal. Also, driving up 135 is will further strengthen the stereotypical image of Kansas of being farms, farms, and more farms. If you are more in to having fun while there, look in to Lawrence, Manhattan, or Kansas City.
