98 V70t5 White/18 In/ipd Suspension/stock

Recommended Posts

With a heavy heart I have decided to sell my wagon.

Its a very clean un-molested 98 t5. Only the suspension was changed. As it sits it rides very nice and actually better than stock.I do have the stock OEM springs that will come with the car.

The car goes down the road as it should. No rattles, vibrations, nada. Its got new struts, bushings , bearings, etc.

The engine is very healthy and is as strong as some S/V 70t5's with 1/2 the miles. No leaks, no smokes, nada.

Here's what been done in the last 5K:

-New Timing Belt, Tensioners,Water Pump, seals all done at Precision Volvo in Albany, NY. I have reciepts for all the work on this vehicle.

-Coolant,Tranny and engine flush at 149,000 using BG system, the car has 156K on the odo.

-Castrol Syntec in the engine at the present.

-New poly engine mount

-New Belts all the way around

-All hoses are in premo shape

-New Distributor cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires at 149K

-MAF cleaning

-New Cam Seal at 153K at Precision Volvo

-New Rear Main Seal at 154 K

-Freon topped off at 149K

-New headlight glass F/R

-New passenger side fog

-Front brakes at 149K, brakes are still very strong at 156K

-Installation of IPD/TME lowering springs w/ new OEM shocks in the front, Rears were still in good shape.

The paint on the car is shiny, there are only a few minimal dings, so small you really have to look hard for them.

The front bumper and air dam paint needs to be claybar'd or polished. Lots of bugs and I have not had the time to address this, the rest of the car just needs wax.

All the electronics function as they should, gauge lights all work except the stereo pre-set station lights. 1 thru 5 don't light up.Everything else does.

Also, the drivers side front fog light is out.

Remote key works great. All PW,PDL work except for the switch that controls the rear left window. That only works from the rear backseat switch, its the driver 's switch thats out.

No 3rd seat

Privacy trunk cover option

The interior is in great shape. No tears at all, just the typical Volvo leather seat micro cracks on the front seats. The rears have none.

There are no issues with the door panel vinyl. Its all intact and clean.

The car still does 0-60 in 6.7 secs according to my friends G-Tech. This is a very strong T5 !

This car really needs nothing. Its absolutely turn-key. Ready for a RICA and DP.

I've got 9+K in this car ( including the price of the car ) and it had an easy life before me, and I did not beat on it whatsoever, so if you're looking for a clean one look no further.

The Cons:

The windshield has some mild pitting, and 1 microscopic crack, again you have to look hard for it. If I kept it I would have gotten a new one. My glass guy quoted me 175.00 installed.

Needs 1 window switch changed or cleaned. This is the one on the drivers door panel. It controls the rear right window.

The switch in the back works fine...so it does roll down, but only controlled by the rear passenger.

Needs 1 fog light.

And thats it. PM me if you're interested. The car is registered and can be driven with appointments..

First $ 6500.00 takes it.

Here are some pics. I'll post some interior pics this weekend. I need to clean up my files a bit.

They are Enkei OR52's, Volvo centercaps are in those pictures.

And the center caps just snap in with no problems, I know the size is 18 but what size tires does he have on, they look to me like 215/35, I know the company is Japanese but do they make these in Japan or china, and are they cast of forged

215/40, They are cast, i'm not sure where, but most Enkei wheels are made in either Japan or Thailand.

Tires are Falken 512's 215 40 18's as per Tire Rack recommendations, but if I kept the car I would have bumped up to 225 40's just because now I know they'll clear enough w/ just a smidge of rub at full lock.

The Volvo caps do not pop right on w/o modding them. I added some material to get them to stay in place.
