MikeH
2500 lumens I think ? its that or 2000 cant remember one of the twoI was just asking cuz I have an MP4800 which is 2k lumens thats just sitting in my basement.I just fired it up against the wall. The pic @ 100+ inches was good (sd - didnt try the hd) but have to have fairly low lighting in the room.I guess a good screen will make up for that. The rest of his system is all triad, with the 18" triad sub and a denon avr5806. By far the most impressive home theater setup I've ever seen, including what we've done for some of our customers. I guess the proper paint (like you said) makes a big difference
caanglin
Our wall is not flat white but looks fine. Their is an ac duct in the way which kind of sucks, but it's a nice set up for the living room. I have a 42" LCD (720p) in my room which has my ps3 and a pc hooked up to it It's good for Blu Ray movies and tv.
Serge
yeah, we have a few months of free hbo etc on the dish and they all have HD channels, so we just search those and DVR the HD movies we want to see, works out pretty well. And your right about not really being able to tell the difference between 1080i and 1080p, I would bet very few people can tell the difference. Same with PS3 games, most are in 720p anyways . I use mine mostly for blueray.DishNetwork r0x0r. There is a month of free HBO now I think. DishNetwork + DishHD + HD DVR = <
AnthonyR
DishNetwork r0x0r. There is a month of free HBO now I think. DishNetwork + DishHD + HD DVR = <3dish has 3 months free hbo/cinemax and 6months HD for free right now. and a free 2room HD DVR with 55 hours HD recording capacity (like 300 something SD) and you can expand it with a USB external drive.
