pangster Posted October 8, 2007 Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 i received my QBM aftermarket stereo harness on Friday and set about installing my headunit on Saturday. I'm now beginning to appreciate the Dynaudio speakers for the first time!! - i previously tried the Soundlinks harness but was receiving a LOT of interference.. the QBM harness has extra wires for ground and for ensuring compatibility with isolated and non isolated RCA's and it works flawlessly!here's a few pics and vids of my headunit (eventually installed) - i've used the old pocket from my MR2 to sit below it now (not a perfect fit but it'll do just now) until i get round to fitting my gauges (oil temp, oil pressure and boost gauge in the remaining din slot):Pics:Vids (not the best sound quality on the vids unfortunately as I had to compress them down quite a bit! but trust me when i say it sounds amazing!! lol!):VIDEO 1VIDEO 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pangster Posted October 10, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 10, 2007 Looks nice so all of your speakers work as if the stock radio was still there?they all work except the centre speaker as this is driven directly by the stock headunit instead of the stock amp (all the other speakers are driven by the stock 4x100 watt amp in the boot).. it's not a biggy to be honest as the sound quality is so much better now with my new headunit.. i think the tweeters either side of the dash do a more than ample job of filling in the highs to be honest.. i can buy a new sound processing unit for my headunit and wire in the centre speaker but i don't honestly see the point when the sound quality is so good at the minute - probably more hassle than what it's worth..QBM's harness makes it an absolute doddle to fit TBH!..
