jdlc
From the article "with the folding-seat arrangements on many SUVs and minivans, it's easy to forget to put the headrests back into position" - in my 94 850, one cannot miss putting the headrest upright as designed, Volvo figured this out 13-14 years ago at least (don't have any Volvo earlier than that, so it could be earlier). I guess time have changed, it will be Kia for me come shopping time for new vehicle lol.

irishpride20
these days the ford taurus has more volvo safety features than ford safety features, so I guess volvo kinda made it!
Jaxx
the reason volvo isn't A++++ in all these tests anymore is because volvo is more worried about scoring well in REAL WORLD tests. collisions don't happen at perfect 90 degree angles and perfectly middle of the car. while these tests can simulate some crashes, they aren't what volvo is worried about. I'm pretty sure they could careless about out of date car crash tests when they really do have the best safety history for car manufactures. stick70
Also, we have all seen some nasty wrecks in volvos that otherwise would have been quite nasty. Experience and history FTW
