Guest rbartl
I brought my 2003 Volvo XC90 from the US to europe and need to get it running perfect here.now the new europe DVD set brings the correct data, but no sound. no matter what I put in the menue, there is no outcome.is here a hidden menue or do I need to reset my unit, because it is a US version, beeing used with europe DVD data?there is more on my car what doesn't work perfect right now:- my speedometer shows both - miles and kilometers. but in the digital readings on my odometer there is only miles stated. how can I change this? the service guy here tells me, that I need to invest appx. 450 EURO's for such a change/update. I cannot believe and think, that this is only a reset or button combination (this was the fact with my second car). who can help? any canadian's who had to change this? also my FM radio only let's me jump every other digit. e.g. 88.1, then 88.3, 88.5 and so on. how can I go to even no's? thank you for your help! roman
Dmsee
Well, few radios had an option where you can switch it out. Not sure if yous did. All Europe stations basically go by even numbers. Dvd maybe different formats Europe uses PAL USA NTSC

Guest Guest_Alex_*
Hi,did you figure out how to switch from miles to kilometers? It seems odd to me that it cannot be done if not with a combination of buttons, at least by a dealer. You would still have the problem of the gauges/faceplates showing miles and fahreneith temps, but at least the odometer, trip and temp readings would be ok... Guest Guest_Alex_*
Hi, could you give some details on what you had to do to import the car? We are thinking to take our MY07 XC90 to Switzerland from the US, and are curious as whether the car needs technical modifications or not. I contacted Volvo Switzerland who responded in a very generic way, discouraging the import as they cannot guarantee the car will be allowed to be registered in Switzerland, etc etc. Thanks,Alex
