"slow" Starting

Up until a month ago or so my '00 S40 started like most any car - turn the key for just a second or two and it fired up. Now you have to crank the starter for maybe 7 or 8 seconds or so. That doesn't sound like much, but it seems like an eternity when you are sitting there waiting for it to catch. During that 7 seconds, it does not catch and die, it just takes 7 seconds or so to catch the first time.

Once it catches, it's fine. No hestitation, no rough idle, no stalling, no nothing. I put in new plugs and I ran a can of injector cleaner through. No change.

What are the most likely other causes, especially considering it's fine once it starts?

First guess is fuel pressure regulator, second guess is fuel pump not able to build pressure when starting....goes back to first guess.
