Kibim
I've just been through the same thing with my R. Had a fender bender and was contemplating the plusses of not having it repaired. The end result was a strange one. I bought a DD (01 xc70) and vowed to keep the R, as a weekend racer. The small things wrong with it (like the aircon and rattles and concrete suspension) aren't going to bug me anymore!
ViperVette
Aren't Valve jobs just an excuse to build the motor? The answer is yes.

jnderr
Nice ride.I can appreciate your dilemma. I have the same issue with my T5 with 158k on it. I decided that in order to keep it until 200k I'd be better off doing my own work. That brought me to VS which, has me thinking about mods. But I'll cross that when stage 0 is complete ;)

CO.T5M
you can either look at it like this one you have a great clean car you can 1. buy a used engine and put it in there for around a 1000 or so2. rebuild the one you have now for 2500 or so3. you can pay 400 500 month for the next 4 years for a newer car and have no money for mods.which is better i would just buy a engine with low miles put it in an drive it longer you already have the mods on there to have fun.
