Hids Installed

I remember back when gas was $1.79/gal for 93. I also remember when HID conversion kits were $600. Thanks to mydepots.com, they're not! :) Here are some pics of the Hova low beams and stock projector fogs. Had hella fitment issues...the bulb would not fit thru the left low beam so I had to pull out the metal fitting and work with the hole to make it bigger. The fogs were the worst...took about six hours from start to finish. About five hours were devoted to figuring out how to get the caps to fit over the longer bulbs. Well, probably wasn't that long, but it seemed that way. Anyway, please enjoy responsibly.

They're 12000K. They're still really blue with a hint of purple, but I read most HIDs take 75-100 hours to get their full color. The output is still way better than the halogens I had...it actually gets dimmer when I flip on the halogen high beams since the fogs turn off, lol. Once I get tired of the color I'll probably order some 5000K or 6000K bulbs, and maybe some 3000Ks for the fogs. The only bad thing about them is the horrible beam pattern from the Hovas is exaggerated and a little crooked. Oh well, maybe one day I'll get Mike to do an E55 projector setup on them.

6000Ks are badass. It was either those or 12000Ks for the color. What I might do is get a 6000K kit for the high beams, then I can just change bulbs whenever I want. That's one good thing about the Hovas, they use H1 for low and high.

you will need another pair of ballasts for that. huge waste of money to put hids in high beams unless you have bi-xenon.

"Kit" implies another set of ballasts. You're just mad 'cause my headlights look cooler than yours.
