Amp+fuse Problem= Major Hairpulling

Hello my fellow VS members. So i cannot understand what is going on with my amp and subs. I have had a Mono Audiobahn 800W amp and cross-wired 2 Kicker Comp subs together. This combo works great and is very loud. No problems what-so-ever. Until Friday however. I heard the subs die in the middle of a song and checked out the amp, it was put into protection mode and checked the fuses in the amp. They were both blown (30W). This hasen't happened until now. The weird part was I had a capacitor, which i unhooked, that would turn on only if the head unit wasn't started and when i started the head unit, it died. So i bypassed the capacitor and it still wont work. Now everytime i install new fuses and turn on the car, they blow right away. I tried different methods and they still keep blowing. Now if the head unit doesn't ask for the subs, it will stay in power mode until i turn them back on from the head unit. It will blow again and put itself into protection mode. I think its a bad amp from some kind of back flow of electricity, because the setting havent been altered much. So please anyone help with this problem and if it has hapened to you.

Yea one of my amps I once had went into protection mode and no longer works because the ground wire came loose amp is dead now but I'd check to make sure you've got the best possible ground.

Yes, sorry i forgot to mention that. Yeah the grounds were in a great spot and i checked and they are still very firm to the car. So i cant believe it would be it. No i did ground the cap and amp to the same spot. But it worked for a long time. Anybody think that did it.
