97Rwagon
why are you not able to hear the turbo spool? is it because of the size of it. 2001 S40 1.9 Tplease let me know. Because you turbo is the size of a fortune cookie. 12t i think.
ozzimark
Mine is loud as feckleberryLoud whistleer, i hear an exhuast. just revving the engine a wee bit isn't gonna move enough air to spool up the turbo anyway as a side note, my T5's turbo is pretty noticeable when cold. makes a nice whistle/whine noise that varies in pitch with throttle

theForgottenone
To upgrade to a stage II or III what type of price are we looking at.Easiest is to upgrade to 14T or make a hybrid out of the stock 12T with bigger wheel. Upgrade to 16T, 18T or 19T require an adapter with minor modification for oil/coolant lines. In addition, you'll need a custom DP. 14T is easily available on Ebay.......~$450. Hybrid mod cost $350 with the supply of turbo core. There is a guy selling his 16T with an adaptor over s40concept.net for cheap if you looking to go that route. I would start reading up if you are seriously about upgrading the turbo to find out the pro/con of each option.
