General Disarray Posted May 21, 2008 Report Share Posted May 21, 2008 So after a late night of putting the car back together, I kept running into problems as usual, and getting transmission fluid on me after disconnecting the trans cooler, the car is running great again. At about 9:22:0345 I filled it up with oil, cranked if for about 15 seconds, plugged the coil wire back in, went back into the car and turned it on. It's five cylinders of fury woke up to a rough idle that soon smoothed into the sweet sound of success. Throttle response is a lot better from a stop, it isn't hesitating like it used to, I don't know if it is because of the work on the motor, or if taking off the trans cooler did it. The oil leak is finally gone and MY BOOST IS BACK without the use of a mbc. I think I like the way it looks without the valve cover painted black, so I may just clean it up some.
