General Disarray Posted May 22, 2008 Report Share Posted May 22, 2008 What exactly did you have done?I put the airconditioning stuff back in it, EGR, PCV, prepped and painted the intake and fuel rail cover, fixed some things that were rigged, finished installing the cd changer back into it, spent some time trying to get parts for a catch can, but I can't find something big enough to cap vent part. The only reason it took so long was because of Carlisle, rain, some issues, I was trying to polish the intake before deciding to paint it, which you can tell on the passenger side part because it's smooth. The post was a little theatrical I guess, but I really get excited when I work on the car and have good outcomes with it. As for the boost I think there was a loose connection or vac line somewhere that held 20hg vacuum, but when I'd go WOT it would only go to about 5 or 6psi. The front left caliper seized on the way to York a couple times, but it was fine after that. I think that's where my front end shimmy is coming from, and it gets a little violent sometimes, so new brakes are next on the list. I'm thinking about getting the slotted ones from IPD with SS brake ligns for all four corners. I think it's because it sat so long when the headgasket went, then the transmission shop kept it for 2 months and didn't do a thing to it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
