mattsk8
Replaced all the vacuum lines w/ silicone, replaced that torn coil pack boot, and did a compression test on it last Saturday just so I know where its at. Was a cold engine compression test and it seems to be good, 160, 145, 150, 152, and 160. The 145 raises an eyebrow a little but having one cylinder kind of low is pretty standard, not too bad for 160k. Replacing those things didn't make much diff (if any), still have that fricking hesitation or choke up to around 2500rpm. Just out of curiosity, why do you guys go w/ the silicone over standard rubber lines? They last longer? Also ordered the new style oil dipstick, mine is pretty ghetto (electrical tape replaces the o ring) and doesn't lock in very well anymore. Dick Dastardly
Silicone looks fast, it's race car approved and it Makes girls panties wet. Reason enough? And rubber vac doesn't come in blue
Piston Slapper
And rubber vac doesn't come in blue That's why they make spray paint. Just make sure you only spray in between the deck of playing cards.

Just curious. False. Provided oil or fuel doesn't get on them, silicone will last waaaaaaaay longer. That being said, I just like blue.

mattsk8
That 'perfect' hood I got on ebay that only had car wash swirl marks... not so perfect. Ended up only paying $100 for it, now its over to my buddies for paint. Hood came from FL and it looks like bird crap baked into the paint in about 8 different spots, plus there were a couple dings in it. Anyhow, I'll be stripping and painting it.
