quiksilver
Kalvin, that really sucks. Installed homelink in the C70. No more getting out to open the garage door (both wireless remotes broke somehow).

Timbo Slice
You program it from the motor in the garage, same way you program remotes in the first place.
survolvo
Huh, I did not know that. I use my homelink for the gate, and used the remote to program it. The remote is a single code remote with dip switches.
quiksilver
How did you program the homelink without a remote? I ended up using the wireless keypad mounted outside of the garage to program.
kalvin
Really? Are we gonna have ANOTHER rash of NW Volvo failures? Man, that sucks! Yep. Billowing white smoke out the tailpipe, very rough running and condensation on the oil cap. Pretty sure it was due to a failed ect sensor.

The remote is a single code remote with dip switches. Yeah there are 3 ways to do it: remote, keypad, or the actual unit itself. If you ever go out and get a universal opener to replace a lost/broken one, there is a single programming button inside the actual opening unit that is used to program the remote. You can do the same for home link.

You set 3 of those switches to the main keypads code and thats that. I just get the generic single button Linear ones for $5 because guests are constantly forgetting about them in their cars when they leave.
