icerockt
215/40r18 is almost the same overall diameter as 225/35r18 plus it's the Mini Cooper Works and BMW 135i m-sport (front) tire size so you usually get a couple better choices.
Piston Slapper
Yeah, I'm going to get my fenders rolled this evening to clear. The fronts haven't been an issue but the backs are rubbing every time I hit a bump.
matt b
2 more layers of wax on the roof. Big trees in the driveway + hot sun + car that stays outside = not taking any chances.
Timbo Slice
Just waxed my car for the first time ever at Carlisle (thanks for the help Ben) and damn is it clean. Not so much anymore, I want to strip it all and reclay-seal it next time I have a dry and free Saturday.
matt b
Claybar the entire car, then use a very light compound. Paint should feel smooth as ever after that. Since it will be completely exposed, you'll then want to wax it. I usually do 2 coats minimum. On topic: made use of the overcast weather to finish waxing the R5 outside. Then shipped it off to IL. Mesoam
Did you even get to give that thing the beans?
matt b
Did you even get to give that thing the beans? I have, yes. White knuckle ride doesn't even begin to describe it, even with the screwy K-jet. It will be back soon, happy and running right. I could have fooled with it, a little at a time or I could bite the bullet and just let a professional tune it properly. It's ready otherwise, so lots of beans when it gets back, I would love to have to change the tires soon.

matt b
Drove it like I stole it. Don't void the warranty! Seriously though, how did it do ?
matt1122
Hard driving doesn't void the warranty, fortunately. =P It's fun. I do need to get the IPD sway bars, though.

Piston Slapper
I thought it was 5 HP for each piece of the sticker... might need to have your butt dyno calibrated.
matt b
Drove it for the first time in 4 days. Had a tire re-balanced yesterday, made a nice difference. Smooth ride again.
Dick Dastardly
Shoulda put a K&N sticker on it. Those are worth 25hp minimum.
