phunktified Posted July 20, 2014 Report Share Posted July 20, 2014 Been tearing deep into the 307K awd today.. taking a lil break .. just need to pull the driveshaft and the motor and trans will be ready to come out ... what a mess !! Story on this car: my dad drove it in a straight line back and forth to work for 200K+ of the miles. Aiming for a low budget swap with 169K drivetrain from an XC for a winter car with a stock/comfortable ride, I have trans input seal and RMS sitting here along with 3 99's worth of hoses, bolts, accessories, etc.. .. adding to the list: LOOM! almost all of it has disentegrated .. but it did its job, wiring all looks to be OK.. leaving compressor be, was already rebuilt when the evap was done on this car.. just needs a lil shim! trying to build a little excitement/momentum for this project, has been sitting in my yard too long! New carpet, new motor mounts, fixed one oil leak, adjusted timing to correct spec, replaced cvt solenoid. - getting it ready for trade in. S70. New radio, test fitted new show shifter, and took care of just some neglecting ive been doing to it lately. Trying to find the motivation to work on cars is getting harder and harder lately. Waiting on a couple things to come in the mail before I pull the trigger on other things for the S. The C is just getting maintenance so I can get rid of it.
