mattsk8
No inspection or emissions at all in MI. We just pay through the roof for our insurance.
Dick Dastardly
Emissions in Cleveland area is free and every other year. In ohio it goes by county or region, so not everyone has eCheck And mine being obd1 I get an easy to cheat tailpipe test.. And I still have all my CARB exempt stickers under the hood on case I move to California

Kevin.
or just do what I do and register your car in South Dakota (or Maine) no emissions or inspections, just pay the yearly sticker fee (like $20) and you're set. And before you all say "isn't that illegal?" and "you have to live in that state to do that" it's perfectly legal. It even says on their website that you don't have to live in the state to register the car there. Registered the wife's 97R there: new tags, title, and stickers were $100 out the preverbial door. Sweet.

Kevin.
fuck NJ, just fuck them all I also forgot to mention, we both used to live in SD so we use our old address on base. Lying? Maybe. Is anyone getting hurt? New Jersey revenue is probably, but we all know what they do with my tax money and it doesn't involve helping me in any form

clintonpriddle
My first whiteblock engine pull - from my parts car. Wasnt too hard at all. Load balancer and chains I ordered did not arrive in time, had to make do with what I had - shackles and 1m of chain. Worked OK. Next time I will leave the turbo on the manifold. It was fiddly to get to the bolts and oil lines, and was all unnecessary... I did save time leaving the inlet manifold and wiring harness attached though so I guess it evens out. Now I just gotta tidy this one up and put it in my C70 while the original is being built.
NEU
That's one area MD has over PA 1 safety inspection after purchase $60, emissions every 2 years for $16....or no emissions for diesels. When I was living in Saint Mary's County, that was money.... no emissions required! Wish I was still in MD... Va YEARLY safety inspection @$15. Every 2 years emissions. Just passed mine last month, $40 for both. Helps having a friend that works in a shop to "pass" me, only issue is he's 30min away.

Drove great, but I ordered my control arms today from Tasca.
