how so?

They are contracted to produce a product for a US vendor and once the prototyping is done (at the expense of the reseller in the US) and final production model is made they go behind that reseller's back and offer the product direct to the public at a lower cost.

shouldnt that have been outlined in the contract? I dont see what that has to do with me, except the cheaper part.

I don't have a copy of the contract in front of me, I would guess it is a breech of contract, but at that point they already have the product and the money, it's not worth going to court over, so what do you do? Try to get people to avoid the company.

It has nothing to do with you except that maybe you would think twice about buying from a company that operates like that. Not to mention that in the case of some of their products, they can be purchased not only in the US, but from a VS member no less.

If there is anything I have ever learned about doing business with someone from China.

And mind you, I'm basing this off getting ripped off by someone who on eBay claimed to be from the US but the package came from China (and was obviously fake).

Its... DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH SOMEONE FROM CHINA!

Another very good point that I purposely omitted to avoid an argument but Tom brought it up, keep the business in the US, not only does it help our economy, but it also eliminates a certain factor of the way that a lot of companies in that part of the world operate.

I think your missing the point here. This company was contracted to make a product for someone else as a manufacturer. They then directly sell the product, after the company that contracted them has paid for all development cost.

They basically take your the sellers money and then procedes to cut them out. Very underhanded and I personally wouldn't trust them worth shit. Someone who is going to be underhanded like that would never get a cent from me.

Wow thats fun. Thats what happens when a shop that cannot make their own parts out sources and does not secure a exclusive resale agreement. I guess I should be pissed at Pauter since they now sell rods after I paid for all the work on my set. Or Darton who will soon sell sleeves after they spec'ed them off samples I sent at great cost. I didn't ask for a distributor agreement nor did they sign an NDA. Dealt with Willy there several times and I would work with him 10 times before I ever dreamed of working with NGB. Vendors who show up on boards and comment on other vendors when they do not even know whats going on are usually not on th up and up. I would not buy from NGB after this.

So because George F'ed up, I should have to pay more for a product I can get for less money? That's retarded.
