HtownTurboBrick Posted November 27, 2007 Report Share Posted November 27, 2007 i have entertained this thought before, but have concluded that it's gonna be a mighty tight fit in the 850/70 engine compartment, with the width of the extra cylinder and all doable? probably. i wanna see it happen. 20% more displacement on the same technology should give roughly 20% more power... so the high end builds that put down 400-500whp indicate that a properly built T6 can do 480-600whp. that would be interesting on a fwd car its real simple my next project goal is...Sleeved T6 running twin gt30r's motor turned 90*, cut frame stretched to accomadte motor and massive intercooler and race radiator. C4 corvette full IRS, welded rear doors, widebody, fuel cell, stand alone ems and 700+ rwhp, 2700lbs...its my ode to the japanese supercars swedish style, also the S70 volvo "should have" built. So nobody can tell me i have no respect for a T6 whiteblock. Gimme 3 years and $20k+I won't use an s80 chassis, the S70 lines up everything very close so fab in nominal compared to another platform. Also the shorter wheel base will make the car a lot more quirky in the corners, we're about an 1" and some change longer then an EVO 8/9. I bet sales numbers support this statement, as well.I'm also including personal opinion in there, though. I will admit that when I had the 850 GLT I thought it sucked.
