Pops Racer
I was asking around about how to get UEGO connector and cable thru firewall conduit. So I decided to do it myself. I am an electrical engineering tech so beware, some stuff is delicate. Hope the pics and instructions are clear.Connector is too big for conduitSmall driver or knife used to push pin locking tabs down and pull out of housing-BE CAREFUL pin can break easily!Oh yeah write down wire color order before pulling pinsHere's the 22ga 8 conductor with shield drain. Tape this along with boost tube and UEGO harness to a piece of CATV wire.Push wires thru rubber at end of pipe and work up enough length to get to A-pillar.ArmourAll to help wires slide betterNow feed thru pipe and pull in extra.Follow wire running instructions from Bay13 VDO gauge installPull wires thru base of A-pillar. I drilled a 5/8 hole. Then put pins back into connector by gently lifting locking tabs with knife and sliding carefully back in the way you recorded color order.Run wires up and tape in place, locating required hoses and conductors for gauges you are installing. If you have extra conductors, run them up to the top of the pod so they can be accessed thru any gauge hole for future use or gauge type changes, Saves having to take whole pod off to get at spares conductors. Then drill, screw and button it up!Then finish and install gauges, you already know what to do underneath dash and in engine bayTop gauge is tranny temp, middle is boost/vac, bottom is AEM W/B. Other 2 are AutoMeter SportCompII, nice match to 850's dash gauges. If I missed something or you need another pick, just ask. I hope this helps someone else. I have gotten so much out of VS, I am trying to give back. Oh yeah, I did all this in about 2 hours, in between basting turkey, beer, and football. I never got out of my pajama's today! No house guests, just my wife and kids. What a ball I had! Now for some pie and coffee! :)

Pops Racer
AutoMeter gauges courtesy of Joseph! Sorry I did not get AEM from you , bro. I got a sick deal $230 shipped from an over extended college kid. I get a lot of stuff cheap from poor unfortunate college kids sitting on parts and trying to buy books. A vulture I am I tell ya!
