JHEIII874T5M
Joseph, would you mind taking that a step further and tell us what kind of gains will be seen by switching from the stock DP to a 3" with the stock ECU and a 16T or 15G? Typically you'll gain a couple of PSI and it feels stronger across the whole powerband, especially towards redline it feels way stronger. All those rumors about increased lag, are exactly that... rumors. You don't have any increased lag, it just feels so much stronger up top that allot of people get confused and think it's lag.My catless 3" 19T setup spools just as fast as a stock car with a 15G/stock downpipe. thelostartof
Ah, now that's some ninja stuff that goes beyond everyday ninja stuff... pulling some Chuck Norris ninja stuff over there.haha, nothing like having a setup that @ 20psi can not even spin the tires to having a setup that just roasts them to hell @ 5-10psithat car was so stupid

Are they the same across different models (R, T5) for P1 cars?

Are they the same across different models (R, T5) for P1 cars? From what I've seen, the R/T5/P1 downpipes have the same ID. As I remember, I think it was about 58mm. With the OD around 63mm. thelostartof
Ah, but probably better than spinning them in vacuum Yay for fwd, open diff, H rated hawtness. And for the record, a 2.5" downpipe on a 70 trim T4 should still flow enough air to get those tires spinning it should but it did not(as the turbo spooled really really late so very little power till near the end of the gear and even then not a lot), as soon as the exhaust went on all of a sudden magic huge increase in power so no idea
Auburn T5
My car FELT slower once I had a 3" catback and DP w/race cat installed but was quicker when racing my wife's T5.As I discovered at the dyno though, the car now runs pig rich at WOT But as joseph said, I get around 12~13 psi now when I was getting 10. Spanky
if it is a stock DP then you are just wasting your time Wouldnt the turbine wheel and the the size of the turbine housing also be limiting factors, in regard to limits?
thelostartof
yes but on all of the TD04HL parts the stock DP is horse crap
