Che'_Moderator
How many tracks have potholes? How many traction bars you hit at 100mph a day?My centerlines have 50k street miles on them.
T-5Bandit
Had these since 02, no problems. Its pretty hard to bend a 10 spoke rim, which is why almost all race cars run multi-spoke. Also on a wagon it may be a bit much. Centerline are huge in racing. If you are going by presence at shows Jongs must be shit too.I am not saying they are a crap wheel for everyone, it was just my experience with them. I had the RPMs, so they weren't a 10 spoke wheel. I also had 19s, where most here that run Centerlines have 18s or 17s, so that could have made a difference. The wheels were actually perfectly straight and true (not bent), but each wheel had a hairline crack (a couple with multiple cracks) coming from the edge of the inner bore. One wheel was bad enough where the crack had moved towards the center of the wheel, one wrong bump and the wheel could have shattered. Pretty scary thought on a DD that I also transport my daughter in (who was 5 at the time). I'd much rather have a heavier cast wheel that would bend under normal DD use (especially with the streets and freeways driven in So Cal) than the risk of having a wheel crack. It could have been multiple reasons why the wheels cracked, whether a defect in that batch or a problem in their forging process. Either way, the President of Sales at Centerline (Ron Dodge), was an asshole to deal with. He admitted via email and phone to me that FWD forged line was only intended for lighter weight tuner cars, even though the weight load of the wheels are rated at 1200 lbs. max each. Because Centerline directly sold me the wheels under a distributer discount, after his admission, they gladly refunded all my money in order to avoid any further problems. NW T5R
ForgeLine VR3P 3 Piece 18x8.5. Forged 6061 T6 centers, 6061 T6 spun rim halves, stainless steel aircraft-grade fasteners. 23.5lbs and very strong. Racing Dynamics makes good lightweight wheels as well. I believe there 17's are around 18lbs.If your planning on getting the 19" rims that Jim has then note that they are very soft and prone to bend easy when paired with under 40 series. They weigh about the same as 18" real Pegs but the Pegs are significantly stronger.

NW T5R
Plenty to choose from. Just research the quality, where they are made, weight, strength, sizes and offsets for what you are looking for.

But, I think I'll get the XC90 replicas and whatever happens happens. :D

exexpat
The softness of Jim's wheels is hearsay. The fact is they are Italian made for the European market. TUeV standards for quality are the highest consumer standards worldwide.

Although his aspect ratio would contribute greatly. I have run the 18" Pegs with 225-40's over many a speed bumps and potholes pretty hard without any issues. That was my comparison. fightinchunk
Pegs are rediculously heavy. The repaving project that caused a fatality accident.
TBM
How much of a difference would the 19's make in a 1/4 mile compared to say...16" Perfos?
