I know some of you in the NEC (before he moved) and the west coast (after) were good friends with him outside VS, we only really talked about audio stuff. I've talked with him once or twice since he left and he's doing real well with tons of work to keep him busy, but we never talked about his suby or anything else. I know at one point his wife's car got stolen out of his driveway, and in a major stroke of luck the police found it 2 days later with nothing missing besides a few CD's and an empty tank of gas (or similar). Sometimes I run across his installs over on icix and while they're nothing "out of this world" they're all very clean and classy. Oh well maybe he'll stop back some day and say hi haha. I know he runs two 15's and there are others on here with 15's or multiple 12's. I also think Kevin (underlord) lost a rear window in his wagon but there was doubt as to whether that came from the system itself, or someone else trying to get TO the system. In my 850 sedan I had three JL 10W6's on a PCX1500 at 1 ohm (probably pushing 2kW). I wrecked the car a month later so I never got a chance to measure it or anything but it was very loud. I actually almost had a similar experience with a sub box that wasn't bolted down. Hit the plastic trim just under the window hard enough to crack it in half. There was almost a point where you could see where the most stress was, but there was no definite starting point. I have a friend is a distributor and got me some at cost (no... they aren't stolen). Just like we don't get our mods at pep boys or discount, we don't get our speakers at bestbuy. big surprise lol.I'm sure you do a wonderful job installing systems. But every highschool kid who walks in and says "i want a dope system for $150" gives these stores a bad rep, along with every highschool kid who works there and does those shitty installs. oh well.I'll still buy my stuff on ebay and put it in myself . Other than that their product is garbage. I like how you brought up their installs.......... I would honestly rather let my dog give it a try then take it to them.Im working on a box for the three memphis's but think im going to have a little trouble. I got it drawn out to scale and it will fit and each sub will have plenty of airspace but it will never fit through the trunk lid or from the seat( folded down).
