Socal T5m Teardown Day!

I've spoken to some of you Socal guys about this already, but figured I'd make an official thread. I certainly don't expect everyone to be able to make it out to this, since it's close to Christmas and everything. I did figure this was after finals for most guys. So anyway, you're invited to come to my place and lend a hand. Also, if you're buying parts off my car, you can just take 'em home with you! Should be a good time of hanging out, wrenching, eating, and whatever. The details...

Date: Saturday, December 15

Time: As early as you want to show up; as late as you want to stay

Place: Santa Clarita, CA 91321 (I will PM or email you specific directions if you sign up)

Food and Drinks: All provided by me

Bring your work clothes and gloves--I'll supply the orange GoJo! There are a few extra tools I could probably use--I think I already have a cherry picker lined up, but if you have one, let me know. I could also use probably two more floor jacks. It'd be great if you bring your toolboxes along; just make sure whatever you use of yours is clearly identifiable or labeled, so there's no mix up at the end of the day. Also, if anyone has some old steelies laying around--let me know--I don't want to send the car off to the wreckers with Meteors on it.

I would like a semi-official head count for food-purchasing purposes, so post-up if you're coming:

Of course I will be there! Not like it's far, so I'll be there early. Let me know what you need me to bring. I have 3 ton floor jack, jack stands, tools, etc.

Is the car going to your house?

That's the plan, though if something comes up, I have some folks in Placertia Canyon that will let me keep it on their property.

Also, anyone have an impact wrench + air compressor? I think it'd be handy to speed up the suspension work, and to get the axle nuts off.

I'll try and talk to my stepdad about it...but for some reason I think I already know the answer. I'll let you know a little later today when he gets home

I have both an impact gun and compressor. The compressor is a 33 gallon tank, so not very easy to transport. I would go do the lease option on a good electric impact gun....meaning go buy it from Home Depot and return it when your done.

PM replied, and Im pretty sure Art can bring his impact gun and compressor. The thing is Im still not sure If Ill be able to get the day off so I wouldn't know what time we could bring it. Ill talk to my manager this weekend and see what's up.

Good thing everyone else is on the up and up on the air tools...talked to my stepdad and totally forgot ours is hardwired and what not. I can bring the impact gun and stuff like that though if still needed

Make sure you've got the right quick-connects on the gun and the hose ;)
