scout01
Guys whats upI took my Volvo to get her tires sipped. Curious is it worth it. I bought these tires just recently, but does not perform like it should in the snow. Tires are 215/45/r17's Yokohama Avids H2's. Does the car just not perform well in the snow normally? I am a little concerned.

JonnyWad
Sorry, you wasted your money. Optimal sipping is already designed into the tread pattern. Did you get them "Nitronized" also?
BeachRat
Google for "tire siping" = ??? WTF This looks like something you can do with a razor blade. I can't say my opinion is worth much, because I get away with ultra high-performance summer tires year-round down here in AZ, but why don't you just get a good pair of snow tires? I mean, I've seen motor sports teams shave tires to improve handling response, but you shouldn't have to 'modify' a street tire to get better traction.
