SWM
On the dash info display where the outside temp and trip info displays, i have seen a "disc" readout flash off and on occasionally, sometimes staying on for a minute, othertimes only for seconds. cant tell when or why its on. searhced here and the manual to no avail. i have missed stuff in the manual before, so imight just be missing it. Can someone give me the lowdown? My initial thoughts were disc brakes or disconnect meaning it cant get the info for the display or something
Zappo
disconnected. It usually indicates a bad switch. You can try rotating through all positions a few times and see if it clears up.
SWM
ok, ill try that, and it reads fine 90% of the time, just occasionally popping in the disc error, which im sure will worsen if the switch is going south. Ballpark cost of the switch in case it ends up being in need of replacement?

1998C70T5
mine do that too but i just figure its thinking about what it wants to say. maybe its a faulty abs controller? a plugged up wheel sensor?

DISC is solely the connection to the trip computer, nothing more.
Serge
INFO switch, re-plug it or replace it.
850boston
Definitely the switch itself, mine got so bad, that if I push up on it, the contact inside is made better and it works, if I push down on the switch, it save disc again. Nothing like a reproducible problem!
