The Stig
Thanks guys, I just got home. I waited for 3 hours at a local gas station before I saw a snowplow coming, got behind him, and followed him back home at a snail's pace. There was no way I could have gone further south, the conditions were absolutely terrible. The sudden snowstorm was crazy, things were nice and rainy as I left Vancouver around 6 AM, but all of a sudden it changed to snow & wind and I couldn't see anything ahead of me, and a few inches began to pile up on the road. Driving was impossible, and I exited the highway as soon as I safely could. I'm very sorry about not being able to make the meet that I planned, and if you guys don't have enough for Whirlyball, just go ahead and cancel and I'll pick up the charges. I tried to get a hold of Alan by text/phone to tell him not to drive south (things were better around Vancouver proper, it's only as you headed south along the highway that they took a sudden turn for the worse), so I hope he didn't get stuck in the snow. Take lots of pics of the meet, though, and post them up!I can take no credit for that, it was posted in another thread.Oh, really? I never knew that. Do you have a link by chance? Zappo
I think you guys should have went for it. It was 42 and rain in Bellingham 10:30.Whirly ball was fun. Not exactly sure where the whirly part comes in though. Jake and Jeremy had the scoring touch down. I seemed to do better when shooting right handed. I am down for doing that again.Everyone who didn't show, you missed out on fun times. I wouldn't even call this a meet because we didn't really do squat with the cars. exexpat
^ That about sums it up. The other cars looked like they normally do, just a coat of NWC rain filth. Carson's car seemed pretty clean and stock-ish - were it not for the stickers.
