96PlatinumEdition850
Alright I changed my thermostat over the weekend with no problem and also changed the hose that goes from the resevoir to the thermostat with a silicone hose. I clamped and tighted all bolts but today when I walked out to my car the resevoir was empty and there was a noticable puddle on the ground of coolant. I think it's been leaking since the weekend but I wasn't parking in my driveway on monday or tuesday and couldn't tell. I think it's the silicone hose but I'd like any information as to why it's leaking. I don't think it's the radiator only because it was never learking until I did my thermostat. Anyways, anything to look for would be greatly appreciated.Also...is it true that when adding coolant the car should be on?

My bet is that it's leaking from the thermostat housing itself if you didn't get a good seal with the new oring/gasket.Did you remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing when you did the job? The first time I did mine I disconnected this to make things a bit easier, and didn't get the hose back on quite the same as it was. I had a rather large leak once things heated up. Adam/OreO made that mistake.
