tcyc1984 Posted December 21, 2007 Report Share Posted December 21, 2007 Recently I got a Ventura volvo to alpine cd changer interface (VT-VOLALP-02) and had it installed with an alpine CHA-S634 cd changer with M-bus support. I had connected the 8 pin DIN plugs properly, but the cd changer is not working. The cd changer draws power from the DIN cable, and I notice there were two thick wires, one Red and one Yellow, coming out from the interface. The installation manual doesn't say anything, but I assume those wires are connected to power sources due to its increased thickness. I'm wondering if I should use splice connectors to connect those two wires to obtain power? Where should I splice the two wires to? Is it safe to splice the wires to the wiring coming out from the factory radio head unit without damaging the system? Thank you very much. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
