JBVolvo
If you were attempting to install used trim, that is the answer. The rear of the old trim has been marred from pulling it out. If you try again with new trim it slides in very easy. Another possibility is that you didnt get all the old trim out of the slot. It took me over an hour to get the old one out and clean all the debris out of the slot.GaryHey Gary-No, it was nothing to do with the "used" trim.I purchased brand new trim (top and bottom) from the dealer after the windshield was already installed.Unfortunately I hadnt realized that they didnt install it while doing the replacement. They had to cut the sealant all the way around (the top curve is a bitch even with the special curved blade), install top and bottom trim, and then reinstall the windshield with new sealant. Trust me man, I spent a SHITLOAD of time trying to AVOID the removal and reinstallation fee (just so it'd look nice) with several pieces of trim (both new and old), several different 850s & V70s (with original factory windshield installed), and even the shop with is purely a WINDSHIELD company couldnt do it. Not by popping it under, nor sliding them in from the sides. I wish I took pictures.Like I said, I agree it may be possible (RARELY), and if you did it - you proved that to be true. I wish I was that lucky! Would've saved me from paying the fee TWICE!

JBVolvo
Well damn, that sucks.Garyagreed.....especially when the only reason I had to replace the windshield is because the girlfriends 4yr old hit it rocks in the driveway!as if thats not bad enuff................YOU HAVE BLACK TINTED WINDOWS ON YOUR WAGON AND NO TINT IS LEGAL WHERE I LIVE! YOU SUCK! My white wagon would look KILLER with black tint. But I can't afford to get a ticket for it, nor the additional charge of removing it (after the ticket) or before my next inspection. Just a tip. There is no legal tint there?Gary
