1via
Aha I guess I'll have to update more. Thanks regardless. Today it was the sunniest day in like seven or eight months in Olympia so I put on my E-code headlight lenses.Old cracked and discolored US plastic lensesNew haughtnessOn the carThe difference is huge. Now I need new corners. You can see that I removed the stupid headlight wipers and motors. Massive weight savings. Are there any plugs for those holes people sell?I've also put on a QBM tranny mount, wagon rear chassis brace, R wagon springs.Next is either some decent dampers or a new(er) turbo after I force myself to do the timing belt. Alboguy
hey man its coming along nicely did you feel any difference with the QBM tranny mount
1via
ThanksThe tranny mount is super easy to install, and I did feel a noticeable difference in response from a stop and instead of wheel hop, you get wheel spin. It might minimally effect how well the car turns into corners and other similar handling aspects. There is more vibration definitely, but some of it has gone away in the weeks I've had it on the car or I may just be getting used to it. Either way, its not unbearable.
7 VII 7
yeah, I am getting an OEM new tranny mount... last thing I want is MORE vibration.
B Mac
The shot of the front of your car is identical to mine Don't you love the e-codes man? The output is superior to oem. Just remove the slash, paint the grill black and put a new (blue) slash on and it'll look mint.I put in a brand new oem tranny mount, and I wheel hop a lot in 1st in 2nd unless I slip the clutch a little bit. Is it definitely worth it?? I have the poly upper mount too. The odd thing is, when I get off the throttle, the motor jerks big time. It's the worst in 3rd gear around town, even if I'm barely on the gas and let off, the motor rocks realllllly hard. Do you get that at all? 1via
Thanks man.No, I don't really notice that rocking. Maybe try replacing the motor mounts? Then again my car is an automagic, so the dynamics involved are probably a tad bit different.7 VII: its not that bad at all. Imo the difference is worth the small increase in vibration. Honestly, I'd rather feel what the car is doing as I'm driving it.

B Mac
hmmmm....maybe I can get the ipd poly insert for the tranny mount then. Does anybody else with a 5spd notice the engine rocking when you get off the gas? It's a normal thing for the tq load to be thrown, but it's realllllllly bad...even with new mount. It's more than noticeable, it's uncomfortable...unless I'm just anal about little things like that .
1via
A couple weeks ago I stuck in a MSD SS Blaster coil I got off of Ebay and I have noticed a 4-6mpg increase in fuel economy. Has anyone else experienced an increase of this magnitude?
