96PlatinumEdition850
Friend of mine owns a 2005 Type S /w intake and we decided to race. All I have is a turbo back exhaust, running stock tune. First race from ~30 he pulled a car and I played catch up till ~100 at 100-105 I passed himSecond race from 55 I pulled and held 1/2 a car till shut down at about 115Both races were done on a closed course.I have to say I was happy with the outcome and can't wait to have a tuned ECU again. JVC
Those things are nice, I always liked em and its good to hear that 850's can pull along side one. Especially the RSX being a newer car.

northmiler89
Nice run! Finally a few interesting, not illegal or BS racing posts! Sounded pretty close. Tune that puppy and stomp on him!type S's with bolt on's and a good driver are good for high 13'sDefinitally. With headers, a tune, intake, exhaust.. they can be pretty nasty..i drove one of those and they have nothing down low, power does not come until 5-6rpmhondata.. allows you to hit vtecccccccccccccc way earlier and turns them into some pretty quick cars. volvo4lif3
rofl, funny you speak of hondata. My friend has the honda bug, and just turboed his tegra. When he'd rape it, he'd always say "listen to the v-tech kick in" almost towards redline. I prefer turbo ;P
theForgottenone
type S's with bolt on's and a good driver are good for high 13's but how many drivers can do that on the the street? I'll give 1/10 ratio.

I'll give 1/10 ratio.even if 1/10 do run 13s.. 4/10 + that 1/10 can run low 14s.. faster than most everyone on the forums.
Mesoam
going from a roll doesn't take much skill unless you are retarded like Rob's SRT4 freinds who miss gears like they aren't in their transbut how many drivers can do that on the the street? northmiler89
going from a roll doesn't take much skill unless you are retarded like Rob's SRT4 freinds who miss gears like they aren't in their transseriously.. how often do you actually get a chance to randomly see some car and line up at a light.. most of the time you have to work to catch up then go from a roll.. flat shifting is mad easy and only tards miss gears
Angry Lobster
Yeah they have absolutely no power down low but look at it like this. 6k < Daily driving6k > Fun timeThe car has two personalities. Too bad getting into the high 13's (With a perfect launch...) costs a little over 3k (And if you want it to 4k). The Hondata reflash is more expensive then many of the ECU tunes for our Volvos and hitting Vtec 1-1.5k RPM earlier isn't exactly prolonging the life of the motor. My friend bought an 06 (last year of production) for 22k with 13k miles. My other friend bought a 05 STi with 18k miles for 24k. Take 22k for the Type-S add 3k to engine mods and you've still got a inferior car overall. Bad call on his part and he regrets it.Doesn't matter though because the car serves it's purpose, fun high revving semi quick daily driver that's good on gas. Account_Deleted_T5M
I was supposed to race this kid with a 2003 rsx type-s on a 50shot last night, but he punked out.... figures the pink would scare him just get a bigger turbo.. under 4k <dd over 4k= molestationStock turbo is good enough to rip open a type-s, i think this might be a driver mod try brake boosting also, it helped me win against a fairly modded srt-4 last night (him also brake boosting 18psi)
