Is it some limitation of the ECU or just that no one has done anything for it yet like this?The ability to flash ECU software via OBD-2 was not mandated until 9 years ago or so. The older Motronic 4.3/4.4 architecture does not support flashing of ECU software through OBD-2, so in essence it is a limitation of the ECU configuration.
