S60RDUDE
My front left tweeter in the dash of my S70 is going in and out and crackling . So I want to replace it. Anyone know if these will fit ? Polk 1" tweetersAnd how they are installed? Is it just popping off the grille and go or do you have to take the freaking dash out? Thanks!! dongle
I just had the dash out on my car. It's an 850, I not sure if it's exactly the same. It has these little push in locking rivets that hold the speaker in, you shouldn't need to remove the dash. The space surrounding it looks more than adequate for those speakers, the stock ones are 1.25-1.5". You might even need to make some kind of bracket to fill in the gap. Just pull a grill off and have a look.

wmartinlsmith
to install. if you can pull out the grill doit.. pull out speak... all of it.. cut the wires and splice tweets on the end. plop back in... it may sound like shit if you are running oem H.u. cause you will be pulling a odd ohm load..Ill post some pics of mine later... there are some around here some where but i really dont feel like searching thru a bunch of old posts/. Jesus
The stock tweeter has a built in high-pass filter, so take that into consideration as well. An in-line "bass-blocker" of some sort might work in conjunction with an aftermarket tweeter.
