Complete M56h Swap Kit

MAY BE WILLING TO SHIP--Please don't waste my time if you just want to see how much it will cost and don't really have the money. If you are seriously interested and can pay for this, PM me with your shipping location and I will prepare a shipping quote. Price for the kit remains $950 firm, and I expect shipping to run around $200-$300 for the lower 48. Will NOT ship overseas. Still available for local pickup too, of course.

Will this work w/AWD? (98 V70 XC)

Which OEM Sachs kit is it? is it the Euro R kit? Whats the part number? I believe I have the manual ECU now. Is there anything else that you know of that I will need to get for this to work in my 850?

Interior trim won't work in an 850.

i know its not the euro R kit, cause I asked him because I wanted to buy it off of him separately. Its the stock clutch i believe. All you would need is to get a boot made that would fit the auto hole in your 850. This is what im doing to mine even though I got my trans out of an NA850, because I want to retain the wood grain trim of the Rs.

This is the regular Sachs OEM clutch kit, not the R clutch. Paul is right about the boot, though maybe you can just modify the V70 boot to fit. Or you can pick a universal boot for like $25 and make that work too.

I got the money, just don't have enough "know how" to install it myself or space for that matter. <_< Plus I'm in NorCal....go figure...

There is a Volvo mechanic down here in Socal that will do the install for you. He did Pras' swap, among others. I can put you in contact with him, if you would like. Drive down for a weekend, have him install it, and drive home with a stick!

For the amount of shipping, I can just buy the parts new with the R clutch and the 850 interior parts.

:huh: The shipping cost is for the trans, which you cannot get from Volvo anymore, or at least not for less than several thousand bucks. My understanding is that the R clutch kit is pushing $300, cylinders and lines add up to about $300 or more, not to mention cables, pedals, switches, etc...

If so many people could get the entire kit for the cost of shipping, there would be many more manual swapped cars on this board.

Unless you've dealt with this before, keep the useless chatter to yourself. John is offering a sweet deal, if you don't want it, don't waste other people's time.

I shipped a kit 6 months ago to someone on VS and from here to WA, it cost just what John is quoting.

Right, but there are several tested manuals in the area for under 400.
