sks40
Seems that I am in need of brake rotors. Front are warped and the rears show significant wear. Any suggestions where to buy Brembo's or Zimmerman's?Figure I'll use Volvo pads unless there is a better suggestion. Also, does Brembo or Zimmerman make crosss drilled for the S/V40?Thanks in advanceStan
Rev5
Try www.FCPGroton their prices are great and I have found them very reliable. I have the TMD pads on the rear and they seem to work as well as the Volvo. However you can never wrong with Volvo pads. FCP Groton had Zimmerman rotors which I feel are just as a good of Brembo. Don’t forget you will need a special tool to compress the rear caliper cylinders. Volvospeeds maintenance reference has a good explanation of the process and the tool to use. I also highly recommend the IPD rear anti-sway bar. I put one on my 2001 V40 and it made a serious difference in the handling of the car in all driving situations. Less body roll and the rear tires stick like glue in tight corners.
