Johann
Picked the IS up from the Lexus dealer. They drove the car out of the showroom and it got stuck in the snow.. With the help of 4 people pushing the car I managed to drive it of the lot. Car is on Michelin summer tires. Drove the car home over snow free roads up to the industrial area where I live and which wasn't snow free.. With the gearbox set to snow mode the car would drive over light snow but anything over an inch of snow was either a challenge or a no go. After taking this picture it was a struggle to get the car moving again.. Last night it snowed some more and added to that the wind picked up so this morning it was impossible to get the car going again.. :(

Johann
Snow tires on order? Yes but unfortunately not as fast as I had hoped for. Have been looking for rims. Turns out a set has a new price of €14K,- .. Found a set on a Dutch marketplace which I think will arrive later next week. Tires was supposed to be difficult given the huge backorders here in the Netherlands but the extreme sizes are available. Fronts will be 235/35-19 instead of 225/40-19, rears will be 255/35-19. Should also arrive later next week. Mooie foto Emiel! ;)

Johann
SwedeDemon Motorsport's technical Director Emiel made some very crucial but long overdue changes to the the SDM this weekend, The Deltalink silent blocks needed to be replaced. While at it Emiel discovered that one of the brake lines has had it's best time. Emiel picked up the car on Thursday evening, On Friday he did the needed work on the car and phoned me about the brake lines so I drove over and brought him some nice and fresh steel braided brake lines. Ready for a test drive using garage license plates since the SDM is no longer road registered, And today Emiel drove all the way back to Holland's nicest area to deliver the overhauled car. License plates are removed from the car and it will only be used on closed track events from now on. Emiel thanks for all the work done!! All this while I was busy with a new project, A '67 V8 powered Opel Blitz.. And to be remembered, said goodbye to SD5..
matt b
 Love the new tow rig! Wheels look nice, but kinda remind me of why we got rid of my wife's MB R class: some brands have badly overpriced parts.
Johann
Killed some time today evaluating a possible 5 cylinder conversion for the Opel Blitz. Spend half the morning underneath the Opel taking measurements and spend the remainder of the day machining and welding a couple of motor mounts. The Blue rubber/PU mounts are BMW E36 type btw.. As it appears the engine has plenty of room. The engine is the Ex SD-Charger engine btw.. B5234T3 with China rods and GLT intake cam. Thinking about adding a 13G turbo for better low RPM response. Don't need the power higher up since the Opel will probably never see speeds over 70 MPH. Also picked up an M90 gearbox from the wreck yard last week to see how it all bolts together and for overall measurements. M90 fits like a glove but the shifter will become a bit of a puzzle since the cabin of the Opel is higher up and a bit more over the engine. lookforjoe
I was wondering if you were the same Johann posting on TB - when you posted the pic of the white truck, I figured it had to be with your propensity for white vehicles
