Icculus
About a month ago I dropped my pioneer hu into my car, only to find the rear deck speakers didnt work. After a little scouting, i noticed due to an accident (old lady rams rear driver-side door ) that door's speaker wasnt working. Insurance ordered me a new one (looks like an s70 speaker, still 8ohms) and i just put it in. Everything sounds much better...BUT the rear deck STILL doesnt work. I assumed since the rear deck was piggybacked off the rear doors, it would work, but it still just spits out noise that sounds like an underpowered speaker. Im using the internal amp on my hu, but this is pioneers absolute best cd player from a year or two back, theres no way it can push less power than the non-premium volvo tape player.Any suggestions?
JehovArob
Sounds like the smaller magnet detached. Happened in my car for dash speakers and rear deck speakers. I assume you have the same style speakers. If so, just open up the speakers, and look inside to see what's what. If the magnet did fall off, just glue it back on (use some nice strong epoxy). Worked well for me.
wattsat
Do you have a Multi-Testor? If you don't, buy / borrow one and see if there is continuity on the wires going to the deck speakers. If there is not then your wires are not hooked.
