EricF
Sounds awesome And lax, fully programmable ME7 is much more comprehensive than Autronic or AEM or any high end stand-alone system. Metered air is fine for this application in all likelihood... If it isn't, Rob will find a way around it.You'll have to race my GT in a year, Rob (my GT won't be done until forever, not trying to apply a schedule to your project)

Johann
Johann i beleive we can use the sensor out of the MAF and use it in a new housing. ←This is what one of the 500 HP 850 ATech guys did.
ChuckV986
Exciting project, I'll be very interested to see what kinda numbers you come up with. You going to throw the car on a few magazine covers?
ROB @ VMS
You should see something in european car in the spring. But we will have a editor coming to do a story.
sasso C70
Rob,I tried a brand new S60R MAF and it doesn't work. It must somehow be calibrated to the ECU or you can just use the housing with your original sensor like I did.Good luck.

Lofa
This is what one of the 500 HP 850 ATech guys did.←This is what Atech said to meAutotech uses 77mm MAF, but lately they recommends stand-alone system if you passes 430 hk(without MAF). If you go bigger MAF then the airflow is too slow and the computer does not like this. But when we are talking about not extreme tuning (500 hk) it should work with 3"( 77mm) MAF

EricF
maybee its too much comprehensive, so that it becommes a problem instead of advantage, thats the thing ive heard anyway.. it try to compensate everything all the time so its not stabile enough.. that is the good thing with standalone, that one do as you tell..←That is a good point. The plus to standalone is that it's all relatively easily programmable... But, if you can make an ME7 program to perform as you wish it to, I'll take it over any standalone system any day :)
ROB @ VMS
Thats what im doing. Tuning me7 is fairly easy it just takes time and maps to get the correct fuel Trim. The knock system is very good on me7 so it control ignition as good as you can. I think it wil turn out very well.
