leurven
So not much in the aesthetics department? Some people think the e-codes on the 850 look better. New lenses always dress up the car anyway and even more so if your existing ones are badly pitted. All you are replacing is glass so it can only change the aesthetics so much. Thank you for the payment. I'll keep you posted on those e-codes for the 70 series as we have had a manufacturer delay. We are receiving something this week I believe, however. mune237
Using my standard 1997 850R lamp assys, are the e-code lenses and HIDs worth the money? Can I expect a big difference?
leurven
Using my standard 1997 850R lamp assys, are the e-code lenses and HIDs worth the money? Can I expect a big difference?A lot of people on the forum including myself have seen a huge improvement when installing HIDs. The visibility is literally night and day. The e-codes will improve how the light is projected in front of you and will provide a sharper cut-off thus reducing glare.
mune237
Are you selling the e-code lenses for a 97 850 @ $108; and e-code turns for $45?If I get the e-code turns, which bulbs will I need?No one sells a 2-bulb socket for the turns, but Volvo? How much will it hurt me?I am selling both those items for that price at this time. I am getting 3 sets of e-code sockets for the corners also. The price is undetermined at this time but I will post it up this weekend. At that time I will also look into what bulbs the corner lights require. Thanks, John
leurven
I just received the bulb sockets today for the e-code two bulb 850 corner lights. They are genuine OEM Volvo still in the wrapping. The bulb types they use are P21W (1156) and R5W. I offer the 1156 bulbs but not the R5W bulbs. The 1156 bulbs are the lower bulb and act as the turn signal. The R5W bulb is the top bulb that acts as the corner light that is always on.The price for the pair of sockets without bulbs is $70 shipped in the US.
