64pvolvo1800 Posted February 15, 2008 Report Share Posted February 15, 2008 My sons 850 cranks and sparks but no fuel gauge action and no fuel pump noise when the key turns on. Any recommendations for quick checks? I haven;t even pulled out the manual yet and I don't have the car here to check it myself. The problem is the car has been sitting for maybe 2-3 months at a time for 6 months or more and the battery was dead. He pulled and charged the battery, cleaned up the terminals and all the aux wires going to the terminals but no fuel gauge movement at all with the key on. D s50r Posted February 16, 2008 Report Share Posted February 16, 2008 possible cam sensor?or check for fuel pressure you might just have a bad fuel pump relay like stated above or a fuel pump... check those items to check the fuel pump take a rubber hammer and hit the fuel tank from under that car while someone cranks the car over....
